Special exhibition ‘18 Amazing Ukiyo-e Artists’
Exhibition period: Tuesday 18 February - Sunday 13 July 2025
54 selected works from the collection of the Osaka UKIYOE Museum will be on show! Kitagawa Utamaro, the leading artist of beautiful women's paintings, who established the ‘Okubi-e’ style, in which the whole body is not painted but the face is the focus of the painting. Katsushika Hokusai, a genius artist who influenced not only Japan but also the world. They and 18 other fine Ukiyo-e artists have their works on display.
In addition, 12 works on display for the first time at the museum are a must-see!
