Uki Uki Ukiyoe -make your heart pound- please feel the lively and fun life of people.

Special exhibition of Ukiyo-e by Utagawa Hiroshige.
 
Many of Utagawa Hiroshige's most popular works will be on exhibition, including “The Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido” and “Famous Places in Kyoto”. In addition, works by Ukiyo-e artists of the Utagawa school will also be on display, making a total of 55 Ukiyo-e works.
Take a look at Ukiyo-e with a magnifying glass, which you can borrow free of charge.

Famous Mountains of Japan in Ukiyo-e by Katsushika Hokusai, Yoshida Hiroshi and Utagawa Hiroshige.

 

Exhibition period: Tuesday 23 July 2024 - Sunday 16 February 2025

 

Special exhibition of Ukiyo-e by Utagawa Hiroshige.
 
Katsushika Hokusai is highly regarded in Japan and internationally. Yoshida Hiroshi is regarded as one of the greatest artists of the shin-hanga style.
Utagawa Hiroshige exploded onto the scene with his landscapes.
The exhibition focuses on these three artists and features 58 Ukiyo-e depicting the iconic Japanese mountain Mt Fuji and other Japanese mountains.
